Deskflow Concepts
This page explains the main ideas in Deskflow: prospects, campaigns, sequences, Studio, enrichment, and credits. Use it when you need a clear “what is this?” or “how does this fit together?”
Prospects
A prospect is a lead or contact you’re targeting (name, company, job title, LinkedIn, etc.). In Deskflow:
- Prospects (the page) is your list of prospects. You can add people manually, import them, or add them from Deskflow Search.
- Deskflow Search lets you search a large B2B database (e.g. by name, company, location) and add results to your list or directly to a campaign.
- Prospects can be enriched (more data added automatically, e.g. email, location) and have an ICP score (fit score) to help prioritize.
Campaigns
A campaign is one outreach run: a sequence (connection request + follow-up messages) sent to a set of prospects over time.
- You create a campaign (Deskflow AI or Templated), choose or generate a sequence, and add prospects.
- When you launch, Deskflow sends the connection request (and later follow-ups) according to the sequence and approval rules.
- You track progress (sent, accepted, replied, meetings) on the campaign and in Inbox.
Sequences
A sequence is the set of steps you send to each prospect in a campaign:
- Step 1 – Connection request (always first).
- Step 2+ – Follow-up messages, usually 1–3 days apart.
In the Campaign Builder you see this as: Start → Connection Request → Wait X days → Follow Up 1 → (optional more steps). You can edit each step’s message or leave it blank to have it generated.
Studio
Studio is where you design your outreach content and sequence before using it in a campaign:
- Tone & writing style – Professional, Consultative, Friendly, or Direct; message length; signature.
- Product library – Products or services the AI uses to personalize messages.
- Target persona – Who you’re targeting (roles, companies).
- Tone examples – Example phrases so the AI matches your voice.
- Personalization waterfall – Order in which the AI uses data (e.g. posts, profile, job title) to personalize.
- Sequence steps – How many steps (e.g. 3 or 4); step 1 is always the connection request.
- Compliance – Optional disclaimer.
You Generate a sequence in Studio, then use it (or a saved style) when creating a campaign. Studio does not send messages by itself; campaigns do.
Enrichment
Enrichment means filling in missing data for a prospect (email, phone, location, company details). Deskflow does this in the background:
- When you add or import prospects, enrichment runs automatically (subject to your plan and credits).
- Enrichment uses multiple sources in a set order (e.g. B2B Enrich, Hunter, Lima, AI) to get the best data at reasonable cost.
- ICP score is a fit score (e.g. 0–100) based on how complete and relevant the data is.
You don’t have to run enrichment manually; it’s part of adding and managing prospects.
Credits
Credits are used for certain premium actions (e.g. bulk operations, API use). Your plan (Free, Basic, Pro) includes a monthly allowance; you can buy extra credit packs.
- Individual enrichment is often unlimited (or very generous) on paid plans.
- Bulk actions (e.g. enriching or processing many prospects at once) may consume credits.
- Campaigns and messaging are typically included in your subscription; credits apply to add-ons and overages.
See Billing and Credits for plans and usage.
Inbox & message approvals
- Inbox shows your LinkedIn conversations (and optionally other channels). You can reply from Deskflow.
- Message approvals – When a campaign (or manual send) queues a message, it can be set to pending approval. You approve or edit it in Inbox (or the approvals queue) before it’s sent.
Integrations
- LinkedIn – Required for sending connection requests and messages and for syncing inbox. Connect via the Chrome extension (session capture) or OAuth. See Connect LinkedIn.
- Calendars (e.g. Google Calendar, Calendly) – Optional; used for scheduling and meetings.
- Other integrations (e.g. CRM) – Depends on your plan and setup.
How it fits together
- Connect LinkedIn (extension or OAuth).
- Add prospects (manual, import, or Deskflow Search).
- Design your sequence in Studio (tone, products, steps) and generate it.
- Create a campaign (Deskflow AI or Templated), attach your sequence/style, add prospects, and launch.
- Inbox – Approve queued messages, reply to conversations, track results.
- Campaigns and Home – Monitor sent, accepted, replied, meetings.
